Dr. Chris C. Pinney (’86) & his son Dr. Hunter B. Pinney (’18) are both graduates from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences. They are excited to expand their ability to serve the San Antonio community by opening a NEW brick and mortar veterinary clinic!
Dr. H. Pinney obtained his undergraduate degree from UTSA and started his veterinary career working weekends with his father at Mobile Petcare Clinics of Texas while in school. He graduated from Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2018 and has been practicing all over Texas as a relief veterinarian (Houston, College Station, Austin, New Braunfels, San Antonio, Canyon Lake, Corpus Christi). He and his wife Jessica are excited to finally settle down in San Antonio! His particular interests are in small animal surgery and dentistry. During his down time he enjoys traveling, sports (especially Aggie football!), working on cars, spending time with family and friends, and hanging out with his wife and two dogs, Gucci & Brinkley.
Shelley is a vet technician with more than ten years of experience. She’s a mother of four and lifelong animal lover who divides her time between working and fostering. She began as a volunteer and will love your animals just as much as her own menagerie of cats and loyal lab Ziszo. Caring for the world’s fur babies is her calling!
Brian is fairly new to the veterinary medicine world and is hoping to go to vet school in the coming years! He is currently studying at UTSA where he will be finishing up his pre-vet school requisites. In his off time he likes playing piano and spending time with his cat, Maurice. He has a huge heart for all fur babies that come through the clinic door!
Sunny has over 15 years in the veterinary field covering a wide range of roles from reception, technician, supervisory, and office management positions in general and specialty/emergency practice. During this time, she has assisted with the veterinary care of horses, goats, piglets, reptiles, birds, and rodents, in addition to dogs and cats, and has loved every minute of it! She is a certified veterinary assistant, and certified dog trainer and is certified in Fear Free handling techniques. Sunny loves to teach and train clients how to develop strong bonds with their pets and how to have healthier lives together. When she does have free time, she enjoys camping, hiking, reading, and spending time outdoors with her church family.
Emily is in her second year of veterinary school at Oklahoma State, and she plans on pursuing small animal emergencies after she graduates. She loves all animals but has a particular love for senior Labradors and Golden Retrievers. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, building furniture, and playing with her two dogs, Axel and Sweetie.
Kaleb is passionate towards animals and genuinely wants to create the most comfortable and loving environment for all of our fur babies. He is attending SNHU and is currently working towards a career in veterinary medicine. Kaleb hopes to build the skills and knowledge necessary to make a real difference in the hearts and paws of our beloved animals.
