Sunny

Vet Technician

Sunny has over 15 years in the veterinary field covering a wide range of roles from reception, technician, supervisory, and office management positions in general and specialty/emergency practice. During this time, she has assisted with the veterinary care of horses, goats, piglets, reptiles, birds, and rodents, in addition to dogs and cats, and has loved every minute of it! She spent several years volunteering for a local wildlife education facility caring for and educating the public on the exotic species that were housed at the facility such as African crested porcupines, reindeer, sloths, and even a kinkajou! Sunny has even fostered a kangaroo joey for 4 months, named Oliver! She is a certified veterinary assistant, and certified dog trainer and is certified in Fear Free handling techniques. Sunny loves to teach and train clients how to develop strong bonds with their pets and how to have healthier lives together. She has lived in San Antonio since July 2014 and has decided to keep San Antonio her home.

Sunny is currently in her first year at Arizona State University studying Integrative Health with a dream of becoming either a Naturopathic Doctor (if licensing for these physicians passes in the state of Texas) or a Healthy Lifestyle/Fitness Coach for humans.

When she does have free time, she enjoys camping, hiking, reading, and spending time outdoors with her church family. She loves her indoor hydroponics garden and loves to cook! Sunny has an 8-year-old miniature Australian Shepherd, Miliani, who knows tricks and will respond to hand signals and facial expressions. Miliani, May for short, is working on becoming a service dog and will love you forever if you have a ball or want to give her belly rubs!
